What is the FingerPass NEO?

The Fingerpass NEO is a biometric terminal intended for time management and physical access control. The terminal allows recording the arrival and departure events of the company’s employees (Check In and Check Out), managing of electromechanical and electromagnetic door-locks, turnstiles, and gateways; opening them upon successful verification of users by their fingerprints enrolled in the system. The FingerPass NEO also effectively solves major challenges faced by any company or organization: To ensure security and management personnel and provide a high level of safety combined with ease of use, reliability, and speed for higher security areas.

Why do I need it?

The Fingerpass NEO gives you the ability to combine both time & attendance and physical access control into one easy to mount package. With other systems you need two other devices to the same thing as with one Fingerpass NEO. The Fingerpass NEO also provides you the ability to secure highly restricted areas by requiring people who provide two forms of authentication for entry. This is called Two Factor Authentication.  

How does it work?

The Fingerpass NEO provides several methods of identification:
  • Fingerprint
  • Contactless RFID cards
  • PIN Codes
  • A combination of contactless cards, fingerprints and PIN-codes

The Fingerpass NEO is ideal for companies that need to protect high security areas a durable, easy to maintain, and powerful device for both their physical access control and time & attendance systems.

The NEO can operate as an autonomous terminal or as part of BioTime, an integrated biometric time and attendance and access control system.

The system supports a combination of two identifiers - fingerprints and contactless card. this features assist in specific applicaitons where the security should be stronger then other locations


Permanent employees are encouraged to use biometric identification. External visitors mayuse contactless cards during thier visits

Identification Indications

The user is advised of the results of the identification process using a message on the display, the color indicator (LED) and voice messages.

Confidentiality of personal data

The terminal stores templates of fingerprints (mathmatical representation).One can not restore an image of a fingerprint.


The FingerPass NEO supports all major interfaces used in control systems and access control - Ethernet, Wiegand, RS-232, and RS-485. Thus, the terminal can be used during new installations or as an add on into existing access control system. The terminal can be mounted on any surface and in any place with power socket and LAN.

Optical Scanning Technology

Optical scanning is considered to be one of the most advanced identification (1:N or one to many) technology. It provides the highest quality and accuracy of identification of the skin condition and operates effectively with problematic fingers (dry or damaged skin, etc.).

Biometric Algorithms

The biometric identification algorithm was developed by BioLink. It was tested and found fully compliant by the American National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). It is considered one of the best Matching algorithms for both 1:1 and 1:N modes.

With a combination of biometric fingerprint readers and applications, Bio-Metrica provides some of the best performing systems with very fast response times, high accuracy, and excellent performance ratios (low FAR / FRR / FTE, EER etc.).
